Based out of the small midwest suburb of Highland, Michigan, brother-sister duo Leah and Jack Komos have released their first self-titled EP, “HATCHES,” a cinematic and danceable dark-wave project.

Drawing from themes centered around fatalism and mortality, their tape saturated songs contain minimal and trashy drum patterns that run alongside arpeggiated synth bass. The delayed and haunting vocals of both members reflect the feelings they’ve endured in response to death, ultimately serving as an avenue to cope with grief and anguish.

Recorded and mixed by Jack and Leah Komos. Mastered by Mark Whalen.
